September. New beginnings. New students. Today feels as if I'm playing hookey - wanting to sit around in PJs all day and watch lame TV shows, knowing that nothing much of any value will get done and feeling guilty because it's the last chance I'll get for awhile to do so. Tomorrow school starts in earnest and the halls will be flooded with bodies of all shapes and sizes sporting new and old uniforms, some showing far more wrists and ankles than in June, before summer growth spurts. Lesson plans will have to be developed, name tags placed on doorways, binders filled with notebooks and dividers. Time will fly by and minds will be filled with new facts and enticing questions. Bring it on!
