Scotland.  Grand buildings and friendly folk.  I spent an enjoyable ten days exploring Edinburgh and Glasgow during my winter break from school; took loads of photos and ate some surprisingly delicious food.  My daughter is attending Glasgow University until June, so she also explored with me, then went on a couple of bus tours arranged for new students. My Uncle from Nottingham joined us for a day and he and I undertook a cultural exploration of the work of Charles Rennie MacIntosh, an architect, designer and artist who had a huge influence on the construction of buildings in Glasgow and later around the world with the beginning of the Art Deco and Art Nouveau movements.  I've included some of the museum displays of his pieces here.
