Wednesday, July 27. I covered quite a distance today. I left Munising at 07:16, with the odometer reading 4216. In two hours I was at the Canadian border at Sault Ste. Marie and by 13:30 I pulled up to the ferry in South Baymouth, Manitoulin - the last car to be loaded. Whew! The next ferry wasn't for another four hours, so I'm really glad I made it. I checked my odometer and calculated I had done 545 kms in 6 hours; not something I'm proud of, but I had my heart set on making it on that ferry. This is the view as we departed the dock.
The Bruce Peninsula was pretty, but one has to drive off the main road to see and water or towns. I stopped in Lion's Head at a local beach/park, then stopped in Owen Sound for a schnitzel dinner and made it to Collingwood by nightfall.
