Sunday.
Rain again.., Vancouver is living up to its reputation, but I hardly notice, because the air is fresh and there are blossoms everywhere.
and geese!!
There is always something going on in this city.  There was a St. Patrick's Day parade this morning, but I opted out in favour of enjoying Dim Sum at Dynasty restaurant on West Broadway.
These were just two delicious samples; pan fried chive dumpling and deep fried taro and BBQ duck - so delicately crispy on the outside and tender on the inside - incredible!
The meal wasn't complete without sticky rice in lotus leaf and pot stickers.

The forecast was for a progressively rainy day so Madi and I went to see the movie "The Big Short". I found it both engaging and informative, as I really hadn't fully understood all the corruption behind the the US mortgage crisis/collapse until now.
The family is heading out shortly to dinner at La Pentola.   http://www.lapentola.ca
I'll let you know how that goes.

These were jade sculptures in a shop near the cinema. Astounding detail in the first and unusual colour in the second.
We were about to try the cat friendly cafe, but one had to pay an entrance fee, so decided against it. Still, we did catch a glimpse of a kitty inside!
